A pinch of sea salt is the reason a 3g-sugar soda doesn't taste thin.

Salt makes fruit louder
Salt suppresses bitterness and lifts aromatics. At 0.1% you can't taste it as salt; you just taste more fruit.
The test that convinced us
We poured 40 people two glasses, identical except for the salt. 34 picked the salted one and said it tasted sweeter. It had the same sugar.
Where it comes from
We use flaky sea salt from a small works on the Essex coast, dissolved into the brine before carbonation.
